CSV Import for iOS

Import your portfolio
from any exchange

Export a CSV from your exchange or broker and import it into Wagyu. Your entire trade history in your portfolio tracker within minutes.

Works with any exchange

Most crypto exchanges and brokers let you export your trade history as a CSV file. Wagyu reads these files and maps them to your portfolio automatically. Whether you trade on Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, or a smaller exchange, you can get your data into Wagyu without re-entering every transaction by hand.

The import handles buys, sells, and transfers. Wagyu processes the CSV on your device and calculates your current holdings and cost basis from the transaction history. You get an accurate portfolio view in minutes instead of hours of manual data entry.

Smart column mapping

Every exchange exports CSVs in a slightly different format. Wagyu handles common formats automatically and lets you map columns manually for custom or unusual formats. Tell it which column is the asset name, which is the amount, and which is the price — and it takes care of the rest.

This flexibility means Wagyu isn't limited to a fixed list of supported exchanges. Any service that can produce a CSV of your trades or holdings can feed into Wagyu. This includes not just crypto exchanges but also stock brokers, banks, and even spreadsheets you maintain yourself.

Accurate cost basis

When you import transaction history, Wagyu calculates your cost basis per asset automatically. It processes buys and sells in chronological order, so your profit and loss figures reflect your actual entry and exit prices. This is critical for understanding your true portfolio performance.

If you've bought Bitcoin at different prices over time, Wagyu tracks each lot and computes your average cost basis. Your P&L charts and daily returns are based on real numbers, not estimates. For users who need accurate cost basis tracking for tax purposes, CSV import is the fastest path to get there.

Private and local

CSV files are processed entirely on your iPhone. The file never leaves your device and is not uploaded to any server. Wagyu reads it, extracts the data, and discards the file. Your trade history and exchange credentials stay under your control at all times.

After import, your portfolio data is protected by the same end-to-end encryption that covers everything in Wagyu. If you use sync, the imported positions travel encrypted between your devices. CSV import is included for everyone, like every other Wagyu feature.
